INXS Claim Top Spot On NZ Albums Chart

The success of the INXS mini-series in Australia has been mirrored in NZ over the past two weeks, where the band are now riding high on the local charts with The Very Best retrospective collection.

INXS: Never Tear Us Apart has aired in New Zealand on the previous two Thursdays and the TV show has been accompanied by extensive promotion by bandmates Kirk Pengilly and Tim Farriss, who is also executive producer.

The Very Best, originally released in 2011, has climbed to the top of the New Zealand albums chart and marks the band’s first New Zealand #1 album since the release of Kick in 1987, which itself has moved to a #11 chart placing this week.
